Built in the 18th century, in 1792, the house is one of the oldest in the region, and is still reminiscent of those exciting times, in spite of the damage inflicted on it by time.
Its name is derived from the multitude of vines planted a little by the whole village, yielding grapes thought to be some of the most delicious in Madeira and used to make the wine which has made the island famous throughout the world.
Casa das Videiras was completely restored and expanded in 1995, and while it still bears the weight of history on its walls, it has been completely modernized.

Villa Echium

The house was built in an elegant area, full of pretty homes with gardens and a great feeling of tranquility, discovered many years ago by foreigners and locals who came to build their houses here, all of different styles, yet with a degree of similarity and beautifully presented.
Villa Echium is one of such houses. It was built around forty years ago and designed by the famous architect van Velden.
Restored by the present owner, it was designed with a view to being divided into two separate apartments
